Our Program

Rebuilding Together-Roanoke's mission is to provide home maintenance for low-income homeowners. The requirements to participate in our program are:

· You must own and reside in the home.

· You are a low-income homeowner unable to afford the maintenance of your home.

· You are elderly or disabled and can not perform repairs to your home.

· Your real estate taxes are up to date (needed to obtain a building permit).

· The repairs to the home are to provide a warm, safe and dry living environment.

Below is a partial example of warm, safe and dry:

You can download an application or request an application by any method listed on the "Contact Us" page. We are now accepting applications year round. Please keep in mind that our primary work days; times when we repair multiple homes is, Rebuilding Day, the last Saturday in April and World Changer projects the end of July. Homeowners who are chosen for Rebuilding Day will be contacted in February. Homeowner accepted by World Changers will be notified in May. There is no need to inquire as to the status of you application. At the approprate time of year you will be notified. Homeowner's who believe they meet our guidelines should complete an application and return it to Rebuilding Together-Roanoke.

Our Board of Directors review all applications to determine those that best fit our abilities to make the repairs within a set budget and time frame. Once final selections are made each applicant will be notified if his or her property was selected and the information on their application will be verified.
